Formerly a disused log-shed, Nutkin cottage was completed in May 2022, and has become a firm favourite with many already. Our guests are calling out Nutkin as the perfect countryside retreat for couples – a true escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
Only the structure of the log-shed remains, the inside has been very cleverly designed and renovated to make full use of both the space, and the serene surroundings. This has resulted in a wonderful space being created, aligned to the natural environment, where you will feel the relaxed and calming atmosphere as you enter the front gates to the property. The open plan living area you walk into from the patio has been wonderfully furnished, and is now adorned with a comfortable sofa so that you can gaze out across the grounds. Beautiful reclaimed timber from Chancery Lane, London was used for much of the renovation in this living area.
The living area opens out into a well designed modern kitchen, with everything that you could need. The other side of the living area leads into the bedroom and bathroom, via a lovely wooden sliding door. The bedroom is a quite beautiful area, both stylish and completely calming with a king sized bed taking centre stage.
The patio doors lead out to the terrace, where you will find seating, a firepit and the wood burning hot tub. Sitting back in the hot-tub, relaxing, taking in the serene views across the wild meadows, woodland and paddocks and spotting the deer, hare and other local wildlife – has proved a real hit to our guests.
Guests are free to wander through the calming meadows and woodland on the Little Massingham Manor estate.
