Join Bryony Knight as she will help you see the woodlands surrounding Little Massingham Manor through the eyes of Vincent Van Gogh.

This one day workshop will include a walk around the beautiful grounds of the manor, before heading back to the studio to learn how Van Gogh painted his subjects. Students will go home with an original oil painting, painted in the style of Van Gogh. If you love colour, bold design and lots of paint, this workshop is for you!

Recommended for painters with some experience in oils.

(Van Gogh’s paintings will be used as a stylistic reference, and students will not be painting direct copies of his work).

9.30am Arrival, refreshments in the Manor breakfast room
10am Introduction and tour of the studio/equipment
10.15am Lecture on Van Gogh’s technique and working style
11am Refreshment break (tea/biscuits)
11.15am Walk around the Manor grounds
11.45am Colour theory demonstration and plan paintings
12.15pm Begin step by step painting
1-2pm Lunch break and opportunity to walk around the grounds
2pm Continue step by step painting
3.30pm Refreshment break (tea/cake)
3.45-4.30pm Finish paintings and Q&A session
4.30pm Finish
